WorldWideWeb Browser

WorldWideWeb ,later renamed to Nexus to avoid confusion between the software and the World Wide Web was the first web browser and editor was invented by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990. It was discontinued in 1994.



NCSA Mosaic Web Browser

Mosaic was the first widely used graphical World Wide Web browser. It was initially released on April 22, 1993 by the NCSA with the help of Marc Andreessen and Eric Bina. The development and support of Mosaic was officially discontinued on January 7, 1997.


Netscape Navigator Web Browser

The Netscape web browser is the general name for a series of web browsers formerly produced by Netscape Communications Corporation, a former subsidiary of AOL. The original browser was once the dominant browser in terms of usage share, but as a result of the first browser war, it lost virtually all of its share to Internet Explorer.
Netscape was discontinued and support for all Netscape browsers and client products was terminated on March 1, 2008.


Internet Explorer Web Browser

Internet Explorer was a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included in the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, starting in 1995. It was first released as part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95 that year.


Mozilla Firefox Web Browser

Mozilla Firefox, or simply Firefox, is a free and open-source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation and its subsidiary, Mozilla Corporation. Firefox is available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, BSD, illumos and Solaris operating systems. Its sibling, Firefox for Android, is also available.

Google Chrome Web Browser

Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google. It was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, and was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android.

Apple Safari Web Browser

Safari is a graphical web browser developed by Apple, based on the WebKit engine. First released on desktop in 2003 with Mac OS X Panther, a mobile version has been bundled with iOS devices since the iPhone's introduction in 2007. Safari is the default browser on Apple devices.


Opera Web Browser

Opera is a web browser for Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux operating systems, developed by Chinese-owned company Opera Software AS in 1995. It is a very light weight browser that has become popular among the mobile device users.
